New to Charlotte? Heard all the hype, but still not sure what the 7th Street Public Market is all about or how to tackle it? Here’s what to expect if you’ve never been.

What is it and why should I go?

An indoor market made up of local businesses where you can shop, eat, drink, and hangout. It’s laid back, relaxing, and a fun place to sit and people-watch. The people are friendly, the vibe is lively, and the atmosphere is chill.

Where is it?

Uptown. At the base of the 7th street station parking deck between 6th and 7th streets, adjacent to the Lynx Blue Line’s 7th Street stop.

Where do I park?

7th street parking deck.

It’s free for the first 90 minutes with a validated parking ticket. Bring your ticket and proof of purchase from any market business to Gateau Baking Co.

Are there restrooms?

Yup. And they’re clean.

The Market also has featured events, like the “mini market” on the first Thursday of every month. Check out their events calendar.

Phew. Now you can pretend you know what you’re doing instead of aimlessly wandering around like you’ve never been before.
