Welcome to InVue’s new global headquarters at 9201 Baybrook Lane. The grand opening was just five weeks ago.
They’ve got TONS of open space in their 90,000-square-foot building, which pairs perfectly with the giant windows that let in plenty of natural light.
The interior design feels modern and clean.
InVue’s product showroom is filled with gear from Samsung, Apple, and other major brands. Basically, the company works with major retailers like Best Buy, Verizon, and Sprint to secure, charge, and analyze their display merchandise.
So, what does that actually mean?
InVue creates pods and Zips for the tech that’s out on display for customers to play with at stores.
The gadgets InVue creates keep people from stealing display items. It’s also about creating a positive customer experience by making pods and Zips that are aesthetically pleasing and don’t get in the way of the customer’s experience.
InVue also cross-merchandises items. It’s like when you go to Best Buy to try out the latest pair of sound-proof headphones you’ve been coveting, and you can scroll through a phone or some other device to choose what music you want to hear on the headphones—that’s cross-merchandising in a nutshell.
What’s really cool about this phone and headphone pair is that the pods they’re attached to collect data about how many times each product is picked up, so retailers can see which display products customers are loving the most.
InVue’s prized product right now is their infrared key that serves as a master key to unlock all of the display items in the store. It’s a great alternative to having a bundle of 100 jingling metal keys in a ring around your belt that takes you ten minutes to sort through when you need to unlock some iPhone. This key needs to be checked in periodically by the employee using it or it times out, so retailers need not worry about a thief getting their hands on the key to everything.
Below the lobby lies the Quality Lab, where InVue engineers test out and build the company’s latest and greatest products.
This totally awesome robot acts like a customer’s arm to see how many times it can pull the Zip before it breaks.
Their incredible lab is completed by these 3D printers!
Back on the first floor around the corner from the lobby, the design team plans how to create the best customer experience.
Customer service is hard at work on the second floor, which is also the home of the executive offices.
The third and final floor is home to the engineering lab:
Pro tip: the desk heights throughout the office are adjustable!
Interview space and meeting rooms are literally everywhere in this huge building.
There’s no scarcity of comfy seating, either, so it’s easy to leave your desk for a while and get a change of scenery. Chat with a co-worker and enjoy a soda or another beverage from the break room, which are free for the taking.
Gold is noticeably InVue’s favorite color. Their signature shade is everywhere in this building.
Tired of being trapped indoors? Head out onto the back patio to sit in the shade and get a breath of fresh (humid) air.
Stuck in that post-lunch afternoon slump? Grab a (free) fancy caffeinated beverage from their awesome coffee-maker which I am very jealous of. It makes lattes AND mochaccinos… need I say more to my fellow coffee-addicts?
Plenty of complimentary drinks and snacks up for grabs if you’ve got the munchies.
And a peaceful place to sit with a pleasant view where you can sit and eat those munchies.
Need to work off all those free snacks you ate and burn some energy from all the fancy coffee you drank? This room only has a ping-pong table at the moment, but it’ll soon be a full-blown recreation room where employees can play some billiards and blow off some steam.
