SouthPark residents, get ready for fresh, affordable Latin street food: Sabor SouthPark‘s grand opening is this Friday.
Bullish. SouthPark will blow this place up.
The restaurant is located across the parking lot from YAFO in the space formerly occupied by Firehouse Subs. It’s the SouthPark shopping center anchored by Barnes & Noble and Earth Fare. I’m predicting that parking will be a huge pain, but don’t get overwhelmed, there’s a free deck near the Earth Fare.
Sure, they’re known for the tacos, nachos, margaritas – but don’t sleep on my personal favorite, their Quinoa Avocado Bowl ($7.95) – quinoa & brown rice with avocado, grilled vegetables & cilantro lime yogurt sauce.
Sabor is growing, fast. This will be Sabor’s sixth location. Other locations include Elizabeth, NoDa, Wesley Chapel, Indian Trail and Steele Creek. Construction is underway for their seventh location in Pineville (9105 Pineville Mathews Rd). It’s arguably the most beloved restaurant brands in the city of Charlotte.
“Our business formula is simple — fresh food and affordable prices. We don’t cut corners on quality,” owner Dalton Espaillat told the Agenda. “What Sabor sells are really good tacos and really good food. We don’t invest in the experience because we want to keep our prices affordable. We also have the best margarita in town.”

Why SouthPark? “We found a great opportunity to get that location and we been looking to get into the SouthPark market for a while,” said Dalton.
Dalton is currently scouting locations in University and Ballantyne for the 8th Sabor.

Sabor will be doing soft openings this week in preparation for their grand opening on Friday April 28th.

Digging the new mural on the wall at Sabor SouthPark. Still nothing fancy, but Sabor definitely invested more into the upfit here that their other locations.

Taco Tuesday is amazing.

Amigos Margarita ($5.95) house tequila, triple sec & fresh squeezed lime juice. And the Sabor Margarita ($7.95) is 1800 silver tequila, cointreau & fresh squeezed lime juice.
Don’t worry, Sabor SouthPark will have the same daily specials that have made the brand famous. And the salsa bar.
Oh, one more thing. The bathroom at Sabor SouthPark is shockingly fancy.
