Waterbean Coffee opened on Saturday on North Tryon Street in Uptown.
This is the third Waterbean Coffee location. The other two are both around Lake Norman (one is in Cornelius and the other in Huntersville).
Waterbean’s hours are 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The exact location is is 616 North Tryon, across from Skyhouse and in the middle of a big parking lot.
Waterbean has a bunch of parking spots reserved around the new coffeeshop.

Waterbean’s drink menu.
It’s cool that Waterbean offers a $9 coffee flight and 30+ loose leaf tea options.
The espresso machines are gorgeous and I can vouch for their latte – I drank one while photographing the space.
You may not care, but Waterbean splurged for fancy blenders that barely make any noise while blending.
Owner Tony Vo has an engineering background which may explain this Frankenstein-like cold brew system is at the end of the counter.
It’s spacious inside and there is both a front and back patio.
Because the surrounding area is mostly a parking lot, there are beautiful views of Uptown Charlotte.
Waterbean also serves limited food options – croissant, sandwiches and a banh mi.
Eventually, the coffeeshop will also serve beer and wine.
Coming soon (once operations and staff are up to speed) – Uptown’s first coffee drive-thru.
