Hygge, the year-old coworking space on the western edge of Uptown, has expanded to a second location — and it’s now open on the west side of town.
The new space already has about 25 members and only two of its seven private offices remain open, owner Garret Tichy said.
The location is 2128 Remount Road, near the intersection of Wilkinson Boulevard.
Six minutes from the first location.
Pricing is the same as the first location, too. That ranges from $124/month a flex space membership to $699/month for an office.
The new space has 7,000 square feet.
That compares with 8,500 for the original location. The new space feels a bit more open, though. The main floor is pictured above. There’s also a “quiet coworking” area that’s separated off.

The whole buildout took about $20,000 to $25,000.
Tichy is looking to be a true part of the west Charlotte community.
He said he’s looking at community memberships for people who live nearby, and is bringing in events that will engage people who aren’t interested in coworking as well.
