Camden Gallery is finally getting its last tenant and it’s a perfect mix for the project.
Currently there is Blue Hem (jeans), Ultra Running (running gear), Blaze Pizza (quick pizza) and Bulgogi Box (we told you about that recently). Quite a mix of tenants.

Coming spring 2017 we will see Pop the Top Craft Beer Shop.
Going next to Ultra Running on West Blvd. this will be divided into two different vibes (three including the patio): market and living room bar.
Market
This side of the space will be for the to-go/for purchase type items like 6-packs, single beers and food, with both coolers and shelf space.
Expect everything from Carolina craft to good ole party beer (you can only play beer pong with craft beer for so long).
Pop the Top is also partnering with local food truck New Wrap Order to stock premade wraps as well as other goodies like locally made pimento cheese, dips, chips and hummus.
The coolers will also have regional non-alcoholic beverages.
Living room bar
There will be about 20-24 taps and they will only stock beer from Carolina breweries. I was told by the owner there are around 150 NC breweries and 50 in SC, and the goal is to showcase many that don’t always get noticed in Charlotte.
There will also be one tap dedicated to kombucha and one for cider.
The concept is that once you get a drink and some snacks you can take it to your own space in the living room area that will provide a cozy atmosphere to relax and people watch, outside or inside.
…And the patio
In addition to the space inside there will also be a pretty sizable patio along West Blvd.
One key focus of Pop the Top is being pet friendly–particularly dog friendly with indoor and outdoor access.
The logo is an homage to the owner’s adorable late labrador Louie, and he aims to make the space as dog friendly as possible with provided water bowls, chew toys and dog treats.
There will also be free WiFi for those looking to grab a beer and get some work done.
Look for Pop the Top to open in spring 2017 and continue to add to the bustling Camden Corridor. I can’t wait for this.
The tentative hours (subject to change): Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
