A new women’s boutique will open this weekend in South End.

Clair de Lune, located at 1820 South Boulevard, will carry women’s clothing and accessories. If the name sounds familiar, you may have seen them at the Girl Tribe Pop-Up shop where owner Anna Kirwan debuted the brand earlier this year.

This weekend they’ll host a boutique sneak peek on Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with doughnuts and coffee. On Sunday, December 4 they’ll officially open their doors for business from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The shop is entering South End during something of a retail boom with Free People, Blue Hem and Anthropologie all opening in the last year.

“Although South End has been growing and expanding extensively, I noticed that there weren’t many options for boutique clothing shops in the neighborhood,” Kirwan said. “I really felt like it needed a place where women could come and shop comfortably, in a convenient location and in a modern environment.”

Kirwan, who just graduated from Queens University of Charlotte in 2014, is diving headfirst into entrepreneurship at a young age in one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods.

” I am very proud to be a part of the growth in this city,” she said. “It’s such a great time to be in Charlotte.”

Clair de Lune carries budget-friendly items that appeal to a college crowd.

You can easily style a full outfit for under $50 and most pieces range from $30 to $150. (Heads up: You get a discount on 12/3 if you wear a college or Greek life t-shirt.)

But Kirwan hopes every woman will be able find something that suits her at her shop.

“I want moms to shop with their daughters,” she said. “I want women of all ages to feel like they can find confidence through my clothing.”

If you don’t know where to start, Clair de Lune will have stylists on hand to pull an outfit together for you.
