Charlotte’s very own Hannibal is one of just seven magicians from North America invited to compete at FISM (the World Championship of Magic) held in Italy next month.

And you can catch his show before he goes at a ‘Pay What You Want’ cost this weekend at Upstage. June 19-20; Upstage; 10pm.

Last July Hannibal qualified in the North American championships held in St Louis to compete in the Parlor Magic category at the international championship. Parlor Magic is very close up intimate magic (think: the opposite of David Copperfield)

Hannibal first picked up magic at the age of 10, fully embraced it in his late 20’s, and has been making a living performing magic for 22 years.

Calling Hannibal a magician is really an understatement. Sure he makes things appear and disappear – seemingly from nowhere – but Hannibal is really a storyteller. His shows are inspiring. He melts storytelling, poetry and humor with magic to create an evening like no other. Hannibal is really a world class performer – with a magic problem.

‘I take the raw talents that I was born with and shape them into unforgettable magic to inspire you to find your own talents and paths and live to the best of your ability.’ – Hannibal

Hannibal convinces you that he can defy the laws of science with the ease of trusted friend and the skill of a surgeon.

Before he races off to Italy to compete with the best of the best in magic he will be at the Magic Castle (the world-class magic nightclub) in Hollywood for a one week residency. He is the first Charlotte-based magician to perform at the Magic Castle. This will be his 5th rotation there… yeah… he’s that good!!
