Grandfather Homes is bringing a duet and triet community called The Towers at Mattie Rose to the space that used to be the Charlotte Fire Department Operations Facility.
The collection of 18 units feature two (duet) or three (triet) individually owned homes in one structure.
The limited number of shared walls provide a feeling of living in a single-family home with the ease and convenience that comes with multifamily homes, the developer says.
They won’t mess with the aesthetic of Elizabeth, the President of Grandfather Homes, Matt Ewers, explained.
“The homes have a historic and timeless aesthetic; yet the design is freethinking and progressive,” he said in a statement. “Ideally from the exterior, it appears like the homes have been there for ages yet the inside has the advantage of modern convenience and technology.”
The units will vary between 7 floor plans whose square footage ranges from 2,450 to 2,800 with 3 bedrooms, 2 or more bathrooms and custom cabinetry and smart home technology.
Upgrades are always available and include raised gardens, a pool, spa, fire pit and outdoor kitchen.
Prices for the units start in the mid-$600s.
