North Side Station is establishing itself as quite the all-in-one destination Uptown.

Flight was out of the gate first at College and 6th, bringing a much needed “beer hall” vibe to Uptown. I have been impressed with their execution and it is certainly a top destination for patios Uptown.

In addition, we have told you about Lucky’s, the arcade bar that will be replacing BAR Charlotte and will be opening very soon, and the Italian restaurant named Tavolo (story on that soon).

So we got a beer hall, we got an arcade bar and coming soon: a cocktail lounge.

The Imperial previewed its space during the Halloween Bar Crawl this past weekend. If you stopped by, please note that the concept will be different than what you experienced.

Imagine a “Mad Men” or “Sinatra Era” cocktail lounge with an extreme focus on drink flavors, service and the “feel” of the space.

This is a perfect fit for North Side Station and as previously mentioned, only adds to its place as a true destination where you can get a bit of everything (even more on this later).

The Imperial is going to put the focus squarely on cocktails with a menu boasting classic recipes complete with modern twists and unique originals.

This will be a place where you can come after work and grab a great cocktail, come with friends and be able to hear each other talk and come later in the evening to get that pick me up drink.

They will be located between the old Cosmos space (more on that in a minute) and part of the old Phoenix nightclub.

The space will be open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday (hours subject to change).

The rooftop area will belong to The Imperial and will no doubt be a must go to for us Charlotte partiers.

YES ROOFTOPS. The rooftop is going to be a prime time spot and will help add to our sorely lacking Uptown rooftop bars. It has its own bar, fire pits, plenty of space for drinking and sitting, brand new bathrooms (thank God) and a great view.

General Manager Mike Howe and Bar Manager Bret Blair have put an extreme amount of thought and care into the drink menu and the details of the decor.

Stay tuned as we give you a full preview and deep dive into the menu before their official opening. No exact opening date has been announced, but it’ll be open soon and we’ll keep you posted.
