Fright at the Knight at Knight Theater: The Charlotte Symphony will take the stage to perform themes from classic horror films like Halloween, Poltergeist and Psycho. 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. $29. Tickets.
Casino Night + Halloween Celebration at The Duke Mansion: Casino games, silent auction, live music and food and drink are all part of the Mansion’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Dress code is “casino cocktail attire.” 8 p.m. $75 per person, free for Preservation Members. Tickets.
Saturday
1st Annual End of Season Halloween Party: American Horror Stories at Craft City Social Club and City Lights: Dress up as your favorite American Horror Story character for a costume contest, take advantage of drink specials and enjoy live music by DJ Krom. 8 p.m. – 1 a.m. $20. Tickets.

Rich & Bennett’s 16th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl in Uptown: The biggest halloween crawl in the region is back. More than 20 bars are slated to participate with drink specials and no cover. Ticket price includes drink specials, a koozie, giveaways, costume contest and entry to the Gravedigger’s Ball. $20-$30. Tickets.
Grave Diggers Ball at the corner of College and 7th Streets: Head to the city’s biggest costume party for a costume contest, thousands of dollars worth of cash prizes and shows by Afrojack and Marc E. Bassy. $15-$1,500. 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Tickets.

Red Clay Howl-O-Ween at Red Clay Ciderworks: Grab your four-legged best friend and convince him to wear a costume because there are treats in it for him.
