Brüks Bars just took a huge leap forward.
Starting today, the startup company’s healthy snack bars will be found at Whole Foods in five more states: South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi — all of the 36 locations in Whole Foods’s South region.
The company called the deal “our biggest news ever.” This is nearly tripling the number of Whole Foods locations they’re in (from 13 to 36).
“As our business continues to double in size each year, we are particularly excited to grow with a brand like Whole Foods that we share a food philosophy with and respect so highly,” cofounder Brooke Muldoon said.
You’ve probably seen their bars before around Charlotte (they’re in about 60 retail locations in the metro area).
They’re gluten, dairy, soy and egg-free, and most of them are vegan as well.
Brooke and Sean Muldoon launched the company in 2013 and have grown the business quickly since then.
The new deal comes a year after Brüks Bars got in its first two Whole Foods locations.
The small order at the location in SouthPark in Charlotte and in Cary was a huge milestone for the company.

Brüks Bars are also now in 100+ retail locations. Most of them are in Charlotte, but they’re also as far away as Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Alaska.
As they grow, Brüks Bars is now looking to hire more people in production. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
