Ninety’s Ice Cream quietly dropped a new 8-flavor cereal milkshake menu yesterday.

The family-owned ice cream shop has a 30-year history serving Charlotte at The Boardwalk in University. They made a splash a couple weeks ago with the release of their wildly popular macaron ice cream sandwiches.

Now they’re at it again creating new milkshakes with your favorite sugary childhood cereals.

They rolled the new flavors out with a sneak peek on Instagram Stories followed by posts on Facebook and Instagram.

So far featured flavors have included Fruity Pebbles, Apple Jacks, Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Cookie Crisp.

Srey Ngear has owned the shop with her family since 2004 and as the next generation prepares to take over the business in her retirement, they’re putting their own spin on the menu.

“One of our favorite things as children of the ’90s was going to the store and picking out cereal,” they said. “We wanted to bring that experience back for everyone to enjoy.”

The cereal milkshakes are $4.85 each.

Ninety’s is located at 9009 J M Keynes Drive. They’re open Monday – Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
