The Live From The Double Door Inn Kickstarter project has already raised more than $9,000 in a little more than a week. Save The Milestone has hit $42,000 on their fundraising page. Our local music community seems to come together pretty quickly when venues or people are in need. Would love to see this kind of passion and response 365 days a year in Charlotte.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless listed otherwise noted, prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 8/10: God Save The Queen City: Kansas Bible Company, The Everymen, The Business People; Snug Harbor, 10 p.m., $2 (tickets). Kansas Bible Company was mentioned by both Dave and Eric from Ink Floyd when I asked them who they were most excited to see at GSTQC. The horn- and sax-heavy Nashville outfit will take over just about every inch of the Snug stage and fill every inch of the room with their versatile, cross-genre sound.
- 8/13: Festival X: The Wind + The Wave, Brent Cobb, Paul Cauthen; U.S. National Whitewater Center, 4 p.m., free. Celebrate 10 years of the USNWC with live music, craft beer, SUP yoga and the first ever USNWC Short Bike Challenge. Austin, TX duo The Wind + The Wave, the Festival X headliner, hits the stage at 8 p.m.
