Finishing one book, let alone nine, is something Charlotte author Michele G. Miller is extremely proud of, but she doesn’t consider that her biggest success.

Michele says she feels very strongly writing about what she calls “real people and circumstances.” The Facebook messages, emails and overall feedback from readers across the world when she releases a new title is what she considers her biggest success.

Michele said she is humbled that people take the time to read her work. The best part is having the opportunity to write something that can touch others in dramatic ways. Michele received an email from a mom one day who read her book From the Wreckage and connected with it so much that she called her teenage daughter who was headed to a football game (a setting in the book) on a stormy night. The mother laughed at her paranoia, but Michele thought it was adorable.

That book, From the Wreckage, will be in this year’s Teen Choice Award swag bag.

Michele has been with Red Coat PR for a little over two years now. Her agent, Rick Miles, approached her with the idea that her book could be in the hands of celebrities and presenters at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards. Initially, Michele was cautiously excited. Now, she can be as ecstatic as she likes.Through this incredible opportunity, Michele’s book will reach her target demographic (teens and young adults) with hopes of them sharing her work with others in the entertainment industry.

What’s next for Michele? She hopes to see From the Wreckage made into a movie or television show. She describes this on-screen adaptation as: Friday Night Lights meets Twister meets One Tree Hill.

From the Wreckage is a book on hope. Michele wants readers to gravitate towards the understanding of hope and that life will continue even after death and disaster. She published her first book in 2013, and should expect a lot more from Michele.

If five years from now, people are still buying and talking about her books, she calls that a win. Her three kids think she’s pretty cool, so do we. If you want more information on Michele G. Miller’s books, please visit her website.
