Later this summer, a new coworking space is coming to Charlotte that will focus on female entrepreneurs.

It’s called Coterie Company, and aims to provide a luxury indoor and outdoor workspace “to suit the professional needs of a creative, mobile, independent female workforce.”

The space is being founded by Joanna Bailey, a prominent designer in Charlotte.

The space will be at 328 West Carson Boulevard.

This is squarely in the Gold District, wedged between Uptown and South End. It will go in the building that used to house the Metrolina Baptist Association (that moved to Plaza Midwood).

Here’s some of the intitial membership prices.

  • Virtual ($195)
  • Part time ($195)
  • Full time ($425)
  • VIP ($595)

That money will get you access to the coffee & juice bar, collaboration suite, conference rooms and print & design studio that’s part of the coworking space. More details are here.

Besides coworking, Coterie will also do event space rentals.

Here’s some of the options:

  • Small conference suite, $500 (6-8 people for up to 4 hours)
  • Large conference suite, $750 (10-16 people for up to 4 hours),
  • Collaboration suite, $3,500 (20-120 people for up to 8 hours with a breakfast or lunch included)

They plan to have a rooftop view. Events are gender neutral.

They want to rapidly expand.

By the end of the year, Coterie also hopes to be in Pittsburgh, Orlando and Nashville.

Look for a grand opening August 1.

The Agenda will give you a better look at the space as the date gets closer. It looks like there’s a lot of work still to be done.
