The award winning pastry chefs of Cafe Ganache in SouthPark are in the final stages of getting a kronut food truck ready to hit Charlotte’s streets.

It’s going to be called the Cafe Ganache Kronut Food Truck (naturally) and is said to be the first kronut truck in the country. They’ll also serve fresh croissants and their signature “Queen” pastry.

Sadruddin Abdullah and wife Mahmuda are very well-regarded pastry chefs. Sadruddin is a two-time National Bread & Pastry Champion.

The truck is going to be legit.

“Full service bakery on wheels” is how it is described. Oven, freezer/refrigerator, deep fryers, proof box, ice cream machine, and more inside. The outside of the truck will have a flat-screen TV.

The truck should be up and running by the end of May.

They’re pre-booking events and festivals already for the last week of the month. Get up with them on Facebook.
