139 South Tryon Street is the most premium address in the city.

This is the building a half block south of The Square, with Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in the ground level. The condos above it are home to Charlotte’s biggest power players.

Michael Jordan lives there. So does Cam Newton. Rocker Chris Daughtry bought a condo there in 2014.

The president of Little Hardware owns a unit, and other business leaders including a co-founder of the startup Direct Digital (Internet marketing of nutritional supplements) have made their home there in the past.

Price range is $1.5 million to $3.5 million for the condos.

Square footage around 3,500 to 6,500, so we’re talking spacious.

Fun fact: It’s hard to find out who lives there.

Most people use their real names on property records, but pretty much all of the people who live in The Trust use an LLC to buy the property.

For example, on Jordan’s unit, the owner is registered as Blackcat NC LLC. It takes a few more layers to trace it back to Curtis Polk, Jordan’s right-hand man, and then Jordan himself.

Newton’s unit is under Agape Property Management Group LLC (registered to his dad).
