Don’t get me wrong, I love a good dog park — and my fur-babies and I accept any and all invitations to dog bars. But sometimes you just want to integrate your pups into your everyday activities and errands. Here are 12 spots in Charlotte that welcome dogs and humans alike.
The Westin Charlotte
Want your visitors with pets to get a royal welcome to the Queen City? Dogs up to 50 pounds are welcome at The Westin Charlotte, and there’s no extra charge — they are even provided their own plush Westin Heavenly Dog Bed, welcome kit, mat and water/food bowls.
Neiman Marcus
For dogs and owners with refined taste, enjoy the high-end selection at Neiman Marcus. They might only carry human clothes in the store, but take advantage of NM exclusive dog accessories online, like these personalized leather dog collars and leashes.

Twenty-Two
Art and dogs totally mix, and Twenty-Two is one of Charlotte’s coolest places to meet for a glass of wine and to browse the current exhibit. But it’s preferred that you keep them leashed and on the patio.

Charlotte Knights – Bark in the Ballpark
Even though pups aren’t allowed in the stadium for every game, you have to take advantage of the special Bark in the Ballpark promotions. They’re coming up this season on May 1 and August 23.

Sleepy Poet Antique Mall
Sleepy Poet is an antique lover’s dream, with 55,000 square feet of booths to browse. That much shopping can be tiring for the owner and pup, so plan on taking a lunch break with one of the food trucks that frequently stop in the parking lot.
Blackhawk Hardware
All breeds are welcome at Blackhawk Hardware, a local, family-owned favorite for home goods, gardening gear and other odds and ends. A stop here plus a smoothie at Juice Bar has Saturday morning written all over it.

SouthPark Mall
In addition to service animals, dogs small enough to be put in a carrier are welcome inside the mall. And for your mid-shop meal? Stroll over to the dog-friendly patio at Chuy’s, part of the Village at SouthPark.
Orvis
At Orvis in Phillips Place, you can dream of (and shop for) your next outdoor adventure with your outdoor adventure companion. There are even dog cookies awaiting your furry friend.

Anthropologie at Atherton Mill
Atherton Mill is a dog owner’s haven. Bring your pup along as you shop for weekly produce at Atherton Market, grab a meal on Luna’s Living Kitchen‘s patio and spend some time playing with the adorable, adoptable dogs that are frequently hanging with volunteers just outside the market. And then hit Anthropologie… It’s the perfect backdrop for the perfect Instagram post.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
Dogs must be leashed, but that doesn’t limit the potential for fun on the main grounds and hiking trails. This year’s schedule isn’t 100% confirmed yet, but in previous years TuckFest has included an “Ultimate Air Dogs” competition, sure to inspire your dog’s inner athlete. TuckFest is coming up this year April 22-24.
Wooden Robot Brewery
Dogs needs to stay leashed but are welcome to join you inside while you sample fan-favorite Good Morning Vietnam coffee vanilla blonde ale and munch on a beer-infused bite from the Twisted Eats food truck, which is parked out front most days.
