As many as 100 food trucks will converge in Charlotte one day this fall for a mega-event celebrating mobile food in the Carolinas (and Atlanta).

The people behind the original Food Truck Friday (Karen and Dave Trauner) are putting it together. The date will be September 10 at the AvidXChange Music Factory.

The plan is to have between 80 and 100 food trucks from North and South Carolina and the Atlanta area in one place.

You’ll need a ticket.

Pricing is still being worked out, but it’s going to be the type of thing where you can get a VIP ticket to get in early. This is how a lot of events at the Music Factory work (think Queen City Brewers Festival, etc.)

This will be family friendly.

There will be a kids section. Creative Loafing will be a sponsor. I don’t have a whole lot more details at this point. Look for more info to come.
