If you haven’t made a stop at Little Village Grill, you’re doing Uptown lunch all wrong.

The tiny fast food counter on W. Trade is nothing new. They’ve been slinging burgers, pitas, subs and fries since 2009 and they usually have a line out the door (in part because the space is so tiny).
If you’re looking for a place to get good food fast and for under $5.15, this is your spot.
Little Village Grill is located at 710 W. Trade Street.
It’s a little off the beaten path of central Uptown but is right in the heart of the Johnson & Wales campus.
It’s mostly a to-go joint but they have a few tables inside and out front if you want to linger.
I like the spot under the blue and white umbrella outside.
You can also order delivery from 4 – 8 p.m.
No minimum order and $2 delivery charge to anywhere within the I-277 loop.
The menu features burgers and hot dogs as well as gyros, falafel and salads.
And nothing is more than $5.15, a steal Uptown.
Little Village Grill tops their gyros with a signature french fry garnish.
Shouldn’t all things should come topped with french fries?

Everything is cooked right in front of your face and they move fast.
On this particular day, I was probably in and out under 3 minutes.
This very filling falafel pita was just $4.80.
And was promptly annihilated.
Their pillow-soft pita bread is the perfect vessel for shoveling fillings into your face.
And it’s just good old Kontos. No frills necessary here.
Can’t make it in? Little Village Grill takes orders for prepared boxed lunches.
Be the office hero.

Little Village Grill is dangerously close to the Agenda HQ so I’ll probably be seeing you there.
