Founded in 1970, Providence Day School is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational college preparatory school serving approximately 1,600 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade.

The lower school librarians work with students in grades TK – 5, striving to build independent, lifelong learners, and fostering a love of reading. The librarians work with teachers, providing resources, developing curriculum, and planning special events.

Providence Day is looking for an energetic and dynamic Lower School Librarian who will thrive in a modern library setting. A MLS or equivalent degree in Library Science from an accredited institution is required and experience in a both elementary education and a library setting is preferred.

Ideally, the candidate will enjoy working as a member of a team, bring enthusiasm to the position, have a passion for reading and a strong technology skill set.
