Job summary:
Based in Charlotte NC and reporting into the CFO, this role is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits. The Head of Human Resources provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and execution plans to the executive management team.

Essential functions:
•Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision
•Function as a strategic business advisor with a “customer focused mindset” to the leadership of each business unit regarding key organizational and management issues
•Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent through effective sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and selection methods with a focus on diversity and inclusion
•Develop and implement benefits structures that attract the right talent by assessing the efficacy of benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, vacation time, sick leave, etc., ensuring that they comply with applicable laws and regulations
•Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to provide insights for decision-making, measuring the effectiveness of HR program and identifying areas of improvement
•Lead initiatives related to organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership development, and succession planning
•Develop and execute initiatives to boost employee engagement, morale, and retention, creating a positive and supportive work environment
•Development and execution of sales compensation programs that drive growth
•Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits
•Complies with applicable laws and regulations related to HR by carrying out periodic compliance checks on all HR processes
•Recommends improvements in how HR can add more value to the business by monitoring trends in HR best practices and recommending changes or improvements when necessary

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
•Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
•Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee development, and HR compliance
•Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
•Strong supervisory and leadership skills
•Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems, to include UKG, Greenhouse, Absorb
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Other experience required:
• A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
• A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience
• SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
