Overview:
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Academic Budget for the Academic Affairs department. The Academic Budget Team within Academic Affairs supports budget and resource management for colleges and academic support units reporting to the Provost and Vice Chancellor. There are approximately 20 colleges and units supported with annual operations in excess of $350 million, nearly one-third of the university’s annual operating budget. The Academic Budget Team collectively provides support and guidance to college and unit leadership and business and administrative support staff.

Minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree; or Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential job duties:
Performs a range of financial and accounting-related duties in support of the Division of Academic Affairs: financial monitoring and analysis, professional knowledge in the areas of budget and resource management, decision-making and problem-solving skills to ensure effective operations, communications and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships and achieve division mission, build and maintain business partnerships to effectively support division colleges and academic support units.
