BraveWorks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit empowering women and families overcoming trauma and injustice through impactful connections, inspired creations, and economic confidence. We provide programs for women in Charlotte, North Carolina and we partner with artisan projects in ten other countries. In Charlotte we teach women skills in jewelry production via weekly jewelry projects. The products created provide supplemental income for these women, as well as an income stream for our organization.

Overview:
The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of BraveWorks. This includes coordinating various staff activities, fundraising and marketplace events, volunteer engagements, and donor activity through the effective utilization of various technology tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. The Engagement Coordinator will need to be adept at juggling many priorities with ease and at times, flex weekly work hours to accommodate the needs of the business. This role is key to the success of achieving our mission of empowering women.

Team Leader: Operations Director
Position Status: Part Time 25-30 hours
Payroll Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Location: Charlotte, NC

Skills and experience required:
• Excellent communication, organization & interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platform
• Experience working in a non-profit environment, particularly with donor platforms
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:
General office needs
• Maintain office supply inventory and make purchases as needed
• Connect with third party vendors on service delivery issues or needs (i.e., cleaning company, recycling vendor, internet provider, etc.)
• Manage the BraveWorks administrative calendar
Data input and reporting
• Gain expertise on the Salesforce platform from a user perspective and leverage the tool in the day-to-day activities of the role
• Have a good working understanding of the MS 365 suite and assist staff where necessary
• Maintain the donor platform (currently GiveLively)
• Support the team in reporting and metrics as needed from all platforms
Jewelry project assistance
• Assist with weekly Jewelry Project activities to include coordinating the lunch schedule/pickup
• Assist with the preparations for Artisan events (graduations, celebrations, alumni meetings, etc.)
Volunteer coordination
• Receive requests from individuals interested in volunteering with BraveWorks and respond, tracking via Salesforce
• Fill volunteer needs requested by staff
• Schedule volunteer trainings and appreciation events
• Track volunteer hours
Event coordination
• Assist with the scheduling and logistics of fundraising events and other types of onsite and offsite marketplace events
• Leverage donor management platform and other electronic invite tools to assist with bi-annual events in the spring and fall; participate on event committees
• Track progress of event planning
Assist retail manager as needed to include:
• Annual inventory
• Covering the front desk and filling online orders in her absence. (when needed or as instructed/directed instead of in her absence)
• Assist with coverage for onsite and offsite marketplace events
• Provide other administrative needs as requested
