Development Manager
Overview:
Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County is hiring for an experienced and driven Development Manager to join our team and bolster fundraising efforts to further the mission of Habitat for Humanity. This is a hands-on position, serving as the primary fundraising officer for the organization. Responsible for, among other things, writing grants, special events (including, but not limited to Women Build), the annual fund, and grant management. They will work with the Executive Director on developing giving priorities for the organization, including major gifts.
They will work, through the Executive Director, with the board as a whole and with individual board members, in helping realize their fiduciary responsibilities around philanthropy and fundraising for the board of directors. It is important that the individual take a team approach in all aspects of their work, bolstered in the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County.
The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above-average attention to detail, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and be disciplined, as well as being highly skilled at building and maintaining relationships. The position requires regular office hours, in addition to some evening and weekend work.
