I celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary with delicious Bad Daddy’s burgers delivered by Postmates. It. was. awesome. Here’s a breakdown of how the entire experience went down.
Ordering
Ordering through the Postmates app was dead simple. The entire menu for each restaurant is in the app and you easily select what you want and add notes if you are a high maintenance orderer.
Waiting
Once our order was placed, waiting for our food felt a lot like waiting for an Uber. Does anyone else watch their Uber driver get closer and closer on the map in the app? Me neither.
Need extra ketchup? You can call or text your driver.
Delivery and tipping
We placed our order at 5:45 pm and Robert rang our doorbell at 6:24 pm – just under 40 minutes. I awkwardly put my arm around him. Kinda creepy, but whatever. Hi Robert!
Like Uber, you can tip and rate your delivery guy or gal through the app.
Cost Breakdown
This service is awesome and it’s going to blow up in Charlotte. Here’s a “VIP” promo code they emailed me yesterday for a $50 delivery credit – I can’t tell if the suits at Postmates are going to be mad at me for posting the email code on the Agenda, so get it quick before they yell at me.
