In a hot housing market, it’s even more important to partner with the right agent. Leslie Snipe of Keller Williams has over a decade of experience helping Charlotteans land their dream homes in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Get connected.
Local interior designer Maggie Crandall is a pro when it comes to infusing fun with interior design — from playful finishes to literal play spaces. It’s no surprise one of her latest designs earned our pick for best outdoor setup.
- Flashback: Our 2021 Home of the Year, which Crandall designed, might have the coolest basement in Charlotte.
The house: At 6,589 square feet, the custom new build has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms inside – plus a pool bath/shower outside.
- The exterior has outdoor living and dining space, a pool and spa, fire pit and a sports court.
Design: Calming, fresh and timeless designs were essential in creating a design-forward and functional home for a family with young kids. The home is equal parts stylish and comfortable, achieved with light colors, a mix of textures and some warm undertones.
Outdoor living: The outdoor living space, right off the main living room, was built with entertainment in mind. It connects right to the pool, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
Best features: The kitchen has a seating area in front of the double-sided fireplace – a prime, cozy gathering space. The plaster fireplace and hood, white oak cabinets, various tile textures and of course wallpaper work together to create the visually striking space.
Take a look around.
