The Charlotte Independence of USL is seeking a Ticket Sales & Service Manager to oversee individual, season, group and corporate ticket sales. The person in this position will be responsible for developing and implementing a ticket sales initiative designed to meet or exceed the annual sales goals set forth by senior management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years sales experience with at least 1 year managing a sales department. This position requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends. As a Ticket Sales & Service Manager, you will be responsible for all Independence accounts, as well as those for the Charlotte Hounds of MLL.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary between $35,000-40,000 based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to all sales efforts involving individual sales, season tickets, partial plans, corporate/premium sales and group sales
  • Lead, train, motivate and supervise Ticket Sales Associates and Ticket Sales Interns
  • Develop, implement and oversee operational policies and procedures for Ticket Sales Associates
  • Organize regular ticket sales staff meetings to facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue
  • Establish individual and departmental sales goals and hold staff accountable for their performance
  • Assist in building an overall positive sales culture within the organization
  • Work closely with marketing and communications staff as it relates to driving ticket sales revenue
  • Operate ticketing equipment including Archtics sales software, validation scanners, credit card machines and printers to maximize box office efficiency
  • Build and maintain viable customer and prospect databases in Archtics
  • Proactively communicate with ticket holders via telephone, e-mail and/or in-person
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while responding to customer inquires, complaints and/or requests
  • Assist senior management in determining the structure of ticket packages, pricing, discount rates and payment plans
  • Identify opportunities to add value to season-ticket holder benefits, programs and events
  • Work with marketing and operations staff to plan and execute exclusive season-ticket holder events throughout the calendar year
  • Represent the organization at various networking, community and/or sales events
  • Serve an active role in the Independence gameday experience by performing sales, operations and other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of outside sales experience preferred
  • 1 year of management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster and Archtics systems a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communications skills and extensive customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative as well as anticipate and solve problems
  • Available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Reliable transportation to all home games and other team events
