A Delta Air Lines plane had a mechanical issue and landed without nose gear at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Wednesday morning.

State of play: There are no reported injuries. Passengers returned to the terminal, and the runway remains closed while crews remove the aircraft, according to a statement from the airport.

  • The flight landed smoothly, according to passenger tweets.

Details: Flight 1092 arrived in Charlotte after taking off from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, as our news partners at WBTV reported.

What they’re saying: “Due to a runway closure, passengers are advised to check with their airline on the status of your flight before coming to the airport,” per the airport.

Editor’s note: This is a developing story.
