Supply Chain Manager
Overview:
Charlotte company is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their expanding team. This individual will manage all aspects of the Supply Chain and will report directly to the Controller. Competitive Benefits package. Salary up to $100K.
Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to all functional areas to meet/exceed company goals and objectives
• Implement new processes and technology to gain efficiencies and reduce costs
• Experience in implementing improvements to MRP to drive efficiency improvements
• Update and optimize MRP to eliminate past due customer orders, reduce inventory levels, and minimize freight costs
• Implement Supply Chain tune-up initiatives by reducing lead times and improved transportation management
• Manage freight contracts
• Build and maintain vendor relationships both domestically and internationally
• Create an inventory management plan to reduce costs while maintaining necessary quantities on hand
• Determine key supply chain KPIs
• Work closely with customer service to enhance customer’s experience with expedites, reduced lead times, stocking packages, etc.
• Work closely with internal departments, vendors and customers to exceed customer expectations
• Create vendor rating system and address any issues with vendor performance
• Work closely with co-workers, vendors and customers to exceed customer expectations. Monitor vendor performance and take action as needed
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Experience: 5+ years of Supply Chain experience preferably in a distribution environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Negotiation Skills
• Strong relationship building skills
• Experience with work orders and multiple warehouses
• Strong MRP experience and Microsoft Suite skills required
• Sage or SAP experience strongly preferred
