Overview:
Charlotte Latin has an immediate need for Lower School substitute teachers.

Key responsibilities include:
• Maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Teaches lesson plan as outlined by the absent teacher
• Displays the ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies
• Implements as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school
• Serves as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism that includes a positive, respectful manner
• Maintains confidentiality of all information concerning students, parents, and members of staff
• Leaves a written note to absent teacher summarizing lessons and any related student/parent concerns

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with and supervising children
• College education preferred
• A commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community is essential
