Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview:
Middleton Meyers is looking for a mid-experience Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join the team! The ideal candidate must be highly-skilled at reviewing invoices for accuracy and compliance, be professional, and energetic. The AP Specialist will be able to communicate well at all levels, have the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adhere to deadlines.

What you’ll do:
• Maintain records and review vendor/service provider agreements
• Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Reconcile statements and payment records
• Ensure payment credits are applied correctly
• Assist with the documentation of processes and standard operating procedures
• Assist with work papers and reconciliations for year-end tax returns and audits

What you’ll need:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or other related field of study
• Enthusiasm for accounts payables and have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• At least 1 year experience in accounts payable or 1-2 years’ experience in accounting or related field
• Must display a cohesive ability to be detail oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement
• Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills
