Job summary:
The Health Workshop Facilitator is a temporary part-time (up to 19 hours a week) position. This role works in the Center for Digital Equity. The Center for Digital Equity brings together residents, public, and private sector partners to co-create solutions allowing every resident the opportunity to thrive in our modern culture. This position will lead facilitation of online/hybrid digital health literacy workshops and support project coordination functions in partnership with the Program Director for the Center for Digital Equity and the faculty lead for this program. This position reports to the Program Director for the Center for Digital Equity. This position is not exempt from provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible to earn overtime pay for hours worked above 40 in a single work week. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Experience, knowledge and skills required:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and experience interacting with multiple constituencies
• Possess a strong, self-driven work ethic that includes taking initiative and seeing assignments through to completion with attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to accept direction on assignments and respond appropriately to feedback
• Commitment to the University’s inclusive mission
• Experience and/or interest in health communication, digital health literacy, computer-mediated communication (CMC)
• Experience teaching and interacting with diverse community members

Non-essential duties:
Other duties and special projects may be assigned to meet department and/or university needs.

Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Remain in a stationary position, most of the time
• Exchange accurate information with co-workers and clients, frequently
• Read reports, create presentations, use a computer system, most of the time
• Communicate with co‐workers, clients and vendors, most of the time

Work conditions:
• Work in office environment, involving contact with faculty, staff, students, service providers and vendors
• Work has deadlines, multiple interruptions, high volume and may be stressful at times
