Raleigh is the place to be on April 1, and that’s not an April Fools’ Day joke.

Driving the news: Tickets to North Carolina native and rapper J. Cole’s festival are now on sale. The two-day festival, which runs April 1-2 in Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park, includes several big-name acts.

Details: Usher will headline April 1. Other day-one acts include Sean Paul and Charlotte native Lute.

  • J. Cole and Drake co-headline April 2. Burna Boy will also perform on April 2, along with Waka Flocka Flame and Mario.
  • Tickets start at $249.99 for general admission and include both days of the festival. You can buy tickets here.

Why it matters: Thousands of people will make the journey to the Triangle for the festival. 80,000 people attended the festival last year, and tickets were sold in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and 20 countries, as Axios Raleigh reported.

  • Plus, the festival is projected to pump millions of dollars into the local economy.

By the numbers: Last year’s festival generated $6.7 million in Wake County.
