Discovery Place serves more than 750,000 people a year through Museum visits, interactive educational programming and community outreach initiatives shaping a future where people embrace science to create opportunities, build hope, solve problems and bring positive change for our world. In 2017, Discovery Place was named as a finalist for the National Medal by the Institute for Museum and Library Science.

Our retail experience:
While experiencing our Museums, visitors can purchase specially curated products to support their continued learning outside of Discovery Place. Revenue from retail purchases supports the Discovery Place mission and is invested back into the organization to help deliver high-quality STEM educational programs and experiences to our community. We aspire to curate retail offerings that are relevant and attractive to our audiences and align with our organization’s values.

General summary:
The ideal candidate is a retail professional with experience in merchandise management, sales display creation, and back-office retail functions including POS and CRM systems, ordering and inventory. Exceptional customer service skills are required. Candidate must be passionate about the Museums mission and experienced in creating an environment that activates the customer’s desire to buy merchandise from Discovery Place.
