Charlotte-based SkillPop will return to in-person programming at Camp North End beginning Wednesday, Feb. 22.
The new hybrid model will feature in-person classes at Camp North End combined with virtual classes through a subscription option.
Why it matters: The Camp North End residency marks the company’s return to in-person programming for the first time since 2020.
- They’ll continue to offer virtual classes and workshops through a new subscription feature called Class of the Month, which gives members two classes per month (one live class and one on-demand class) for $19.
Context: Founded in 2015 by Haley Bohon, SkillPop began by hosting in-person classes throughout the Southeast on topics ranging from photography to business development before pivoting to an online platform in 2020, when the pandemic began.
What they’re saying: “Camp North End is filled with savvy small business owners, creatives and more and we couldn’t be more excited to see how our communities come together to grow and learn from one another,” Bohon said in a statement.
What’s next: SkillPop will host classes taught by local experts in Charlotte at 201 Camp Road every Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30pm.
- Class sizes will vary, with most between 20-30 people.
- Tickets for the first four classes are now live on their website.
