Overview:
The Head Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse Program Coach is responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. The Coach will work collaboratively with colleagues in guiding a quality program from the middle school to varsity levels. This is a full-time position, beginning in August 2023, that will be paired with another role at the school.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Coordinate all aspects of the sport, including practice plans, game management, film upload and review, scouting and statistics management
• Organize and run workouts
• Consult on or handle parent and player concerns
• Manage uniform and team equipment needs
• Make hiring recommendations for additional team head and/or assistant coaches as needed
• Answer questions and provide information to parents on club, clinic and camp opportunities
• Communicate with parents and players
• Mentor and consult with JV and MS coaches on practice content
• Provide support to athletes with college aspirations and respond to college related inquiries
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Supervisory responsibilities:
Supervise head and assistant coaches at all program levels.

Education and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Coaching experience with high school/competitive travel team
• Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies and techniques of the sport
• Experience working in a K-12 School preferred
• Or combination of equivalent experience, education and training

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, fellow coaches, parents, and students

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to supervise and train coaches
• Ability to participate in physically demanding athletic activities
• Ability to travel off-campus for athletic competitions
• Must have a sense of humor in your work and a friendly nature

• Adheres to the highest level of professionalism
• General computer skills including Google Suite proficiency

Working conditions and environment:
• Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
• Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity
• Frequently talk and hear
• Frequently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders
• Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold
• Long or odd hours, as needed
