Overview:
Serve as the primary point of contact with the public for information and responsible for administrative support functions for Davidson Town Hall.

Essential duties and tasks:
• Main point of contact for greeting public either by phone or walk-in
• Assists with directing public to the responsible department and provides information and/or resources to the general public and other agencies to answer general queries, requests, provide records, explain services, or other related issues
• Provides administrative staff support when needed, such as document production, preparation of correspondence
• Maintains inventory and places orders for supplies
• Collect fees and follow approved cash-handling procedures
• Responsible for opening, sorting and delivering the mail received daily by the Post Office and parcel delivery services
• Performs other related duties as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Considerable knowledge of standard office equipment and procedures including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and dBase) specialized law enforcement and word processing computer applications
• Skill in public contact, customer service and establishing a positive professional image of the department
• Ability to plan and organize work, files and records for easy retrieval
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with town employees and the general public
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to meet deadlines and work standards which may be performed under stress
• Ability to handle confidential information and records appropriately
• Ability to handle funds appropriately and within standard financial policies
• Ability to type and perform data entry with appropriate speed and accuracy and to proof own work
