Overview:
Bedside Manor is looking for an experienced team leader to manage our shop. As Store Manager, you are not just the leader of the store, you represent our brand. You are responsible for managing and motivating our sales team, maximizing profitability, maintaining the highest standards for the shop’s visual appearance, and ensuring our operational standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Team leader
• Drives business results by maximizing sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through sales floor leadership
• Recruit, hire and train. Attract top talent who are guest focused and demonstrate the ability to drive sales
• Provides ongoing education and coaching to allow team members to reach their fullest potential
• Plans, delegates, and follows up on tasks, assignments and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met
• Sets criteria for staff, such as sales performance and customer approval or complaints
• Evaluates staff based on performance-based metrics
• Attends meetings with management team
• Creates employee schedules
• Maintains a high degree of personal integrity and inspires a team with the same values
Sales
• Exemplify and drive team performance
• Maximize sales through creative initiatives, team motivation, evaluating store performance and implementing improvements
• Develop business strategies to expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Meet/exceed sales goals
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
Customer experience
• Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
• Deal with correspondence, complaints and inquiries from customers
Operations
• Oversee and place orders for customer purchases
• Follow up with customers with updates on their orders
• Create reports on buying trends, customer needs, profits as needed
• Purchase office supplies and manage office budgets
• Communicates with suppliers
• Manages inventory, including loss prevention
• Understands and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner

Requirements and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4+ years of extensive professional experience in retail with POS software
• 2+ years supervisory experience in team management, motivation and operations
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
• Proactive and creative problem-solving ability
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities
• Interior design, fashion or textile experience is a plus
• Ability & willingness to work flexible hours including Saturday and holiday shifts
