We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager that will help support one of our largest technical projects in the agency. As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide end-to-end ‘hands-on’ project management of mid to large-scale cross service line projects and be accountable for keeping projects on track and on budget with the appropriate foresight to proactively manage risks and escalate them when necessary. As a member of a larger team, you will need strong communications skills to ensure the team is equipped with everything they need to deliver work on time while maintaining internal productivity goals. This person will support the Accounts team in properly scoping out new business opportunities, working with the Traffic Manager on ongoing resourcing needs, and being the ‘hub of the wheel’ on all projects making sure resources are clear on deliverables and timelines.

Working across multiple departments, this person is expected to proactively engage in the sharing of knowledge with the larger agency, and know when to pull in various department expertise to support project decision-making. With both internal and client-facing responsibilities, a strong marketing or agency background is essential as this role requires a working knowledge of digital marketing practices, tactics, technologies and strategy.

Candidates should have 4-6 years experience. A digital agency background is preferred and a deep, working knowledge of project management tools is a must. All applicants must be certified through the Project Management Institute with their PMP Certification.

Project management
• Responsible for ensuring projects and tasks are completed on time and on budget using a number of project management tools such as Mavenlink, Bugherd and ADO
• Continuously audit project management processes and suggest improvements
• Utilize process documents, tools and trackers to support you in successfully managing projects
• Regularly communicate with Executive Project Director to ensure projects are laddering up to the client’s overarching goals and business objectives
• Proactively communicate when you foresee any potential project risks or concerns and work together to come up with a solution
• Translate tactical strategy into a task-based project plan focused on reaching client goals
• Lead and manage meeting notes, to be distributed internally and available for Account Manager to share with the client.
• Ensure proper project documentation is being completed at every phase and evolve as needed
• Understand the health and status of your projects at all times
• Manage client expectations and ensure understanding of project status and project timeline at all times
• Work with a variety of resources across the agency, particularly within our Tech Department
Client relationship support and strategy
• Work with clients and Account Director to establish specific goals and KPIs that indicate success and ensure tactics help achieve those goals
• Make tactical strategic recommendations on how to help clients achieve their goals through Union’s capabilities
• Provide strategic recommendations for optimizing and improving tactics specific to Union’s services on an ongoing basis
• Leverage expertise from Directors to help influence strategic direction and decisions
Project health
• Utilize reporting features in Mavenlink in order to pull a variety of metrics that ladder into project burn, profitability and effective bill rate
• Strategically resource against tasks in an effort to stay on budget and on time
• Collect and compile data for bi-weekly Project Health reports that will be sent to Executive Directors and project leads
• Keep pulse check on pacing by staying on top of actual hours compared to scheduled hours within project
• Work with Project Director to finalize monthly invoices, and compile EBR projections based on actuals from the month
