Overview:
The Director of Radiology is the chief administrator of the Radiology department. Under the direction of the Chief Radiologist and Vice President of Professional Services, performs as operating and business manager and technical leader. Functions with initiative and independent judgement. Assists with the development, interpretation and application of department policies, budgets, short range and long range plans. Provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric.

The qualified candidate will possess the following:
Education
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or at least five years of progressive leadership experience managing a radiology department
Experience
• 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, preferably radiology
• Proven leadership skills and proven ability to rally a teamwork approach to departmental work ethics
Licensure and certification
• Must hold current ARRT(R), CNMT, or RDMS registry. The card must be on file in the Director’s office
• Maintains and documents continuing education requirements as required by the ARRT or other certifying body
• Must be currently BCLS certified or become certified within three months of employment
