The User Experience team is looking for an exceptional designer to join us here at LPL Financial.
Haven’t heard of us? It may surprise you to learn that LPL Financial is the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer. We provide technology and services to over 14,000 financial advisors around the country, and we’ve built a design-driven UX team to reinvent our product suite from the ground up. We provide the best tools and support for small, local, and family owned financial advisors while staying in the background so they can do what they do best: build and foster relationships.
Our team is tasked with transforming LPL’s advisor-facing software into market leading digital products. It’s a huge task, and we need your help.
About the job
You’re going to help us make great software using user-centered design thinking and an iterative approach. We’re going to help you become a better product designer and an expert in our industry.
About you
Skills: You can draw, sketch, graph, etc in the software or medium most likely to help you communicate what a digital product does, how it works, and how it is going to make a customers life better.
Experience: The “Sr” in the title is available if you have a ton of experience solving difficult design problems for enterprise applications. It’s optional if you don’t. And if you’re just graduating school and unsure if you’re qualified, send your resume and portfolio anyway. Sometimes potential is more valuable than experience, and we’re willing to take that into consideration.
Financial industry knowledge: Helpful, but not necessary. You will learn quickly!
Education: Don’t care. Google’s right.
