Brokerage Account Executive

Overview:
The Brokerage Account Executive will seek and identify sales leads and pitch services to new clients within a brokerage environment. This person will build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals while maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.

Essential functions:
• Build a profitable book of business by generating and developing new business opportunities
• Negotiate, build and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
• Generate leads by cold calling potential clients, understanding client needs and identifying sales opportunities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of Cardinal’s products and services, as well as those of our competitors
• Close new business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
• Make timely and professional decisions while maintaining service standards and profitably
• Communicate promptly and efficiently, providing clear, concise and consistent status updates, with external clients as well as internal support teams

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or (equivalent experience)
• 2 years of experience in a sales and cold-calling environment
• Excellent communicator across all channels
• Must be in compliance with any existing non-compete/solicit agreement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
