BraveWorks is a 501c3 non-profit organization empowering women overcoming vulnerable situations including addiction, incarceration, human trafficking, abuse, and ethnic persecution. We empower the women we serve, whom we refer to as Artisans, by connecting them to a supportive community. They come together to make beautiful jewelry and accessories that are then sold through our local shop and other channels. We also partner with similar organizations in developing countries, enabling us to empower women and families both locally and globally.

Overview:
The Retail Manager is charged with managing both the retail shop as well as the online sales channel. The scope includes merchandising, inventory and order management, customer experience, POS and website maintenance. Additionally, this role is key in ensuring strong processes are established and adhered to across the organization. It is a key touchpoint with customers, furthering the education about the work of our ministry and ensuring a positive experience in support of our brand.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years in a retail environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities:
Product and inventory management
• Ensure all product content on the website is kept updated, new products are added in a timely manner, and accurate product descriptions exist
• Partner with Communications & Marketing team member on product and stylized photography, assisting with photo shoots as necessary
• Maintain accurate inventory information for all products via Shopify
• Organize the physical inventory to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure all inventory is properly counted, tagged, priced, and stocked
• Maintain tight controls on inventory movement in and out of stockroom
• Support offsite pop-up shop participation (may be outside of normal hours)
• Provide product quality feedback to production on any issues as inventory is returned from customers
• Evaluate and advise on proper inventory levels, production needs and product life cycles
• Organize annual inventory process and successfully execute
Customer experience
• Greet customers and process point of sale transactions, upselling where possible
• Arrange for volunteers to support coverage during shop hours
• Oversee online customer order fulfillment and resolve customer issues as they arise via in person, website, email, or phone
• Participate in onsite and offsite events as needed
• Manage the relationship with Consignment retailers (i.e., Cotswold Marketplace, Community Matters Café), ensuring proper inventory levels and effective onsite merchandising
• Leverage Salesforce platform for all aspects of the role
