Could “Selling Charlotte” be the next “Selling Sunset” spinoff? I can only hope.

Driving the news: Sharelle Rosado, the star of “Selling Tampa” and owner of Allure Realty, announced Tuesday she’s expanding the brokerage’s footprint into the Carolinas. Managing broker Kristina Delgado will lead the local office, serving Mecklenburg and its 18 surrounding counties.

Context: The spinoff of the Netflix blockbuster “Selling Sunset” is set in the Tampa Bay area and centers around Rosado and her team of stylish agents as they attempt to find buyers for Tampa’s luxury homes.

  • When “Selling Tampa” premiered in December 2021, it landed in the no. 1 spot on Netflix’s most-watched shows.
  • I binge-watched the reality series and wrote about it for our friends at Axios Tampa Bay a few months back.

Why it matters: Rosado says in the show that a Black woman in luxury real estate is a rarity in Tampa, and that statement stretches far beyond Florida.

  • New “Selling Sunset” cast member Chelsea Lazkani also talks about the lack of Black women in the industry, telling Refinery21, “I took on this opportunity knowing that I could hopefully be a role model for other Black women and other women of color that want to enter this extremely lucrative industry.”

So could Charlotte be next?

We have no shortage of luxury listings, like this $3.9 million Myers Park mansion with an underground speakeasy or the so-called “Baby Biltmore” that’s passed hands from CEO to CEO or the lakefront castle Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey allegedly bought.

Ball’s in your court, Netflix. (I await your email.)
