Architectural and Designer Draftsperson
Overview:
5th and Vine Design Build is looking for a candidate that is upbeat, motivated and a team player. This position is an incredible opportunity for an energetic, driven, and enthusiastic individual who is looking to grow within an established design team. Must have at least 5 years of experience.
Full-time architectural and designer draftsperson position available in Belmont, NC.
Salary:
• Commensurate with experience

Work location:
Office – 8 Hour Workday.
Responsibilities:
• Site visits when necessary for field measurements
• Read and interpret architectural drawings
• Prepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projects
• Work in a profitable and timely manner according to company standards
• Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed
• Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues
• Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion
• Be able to follow computer processes and procedures
• Attend client meetings as required
• Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code
• Maintain a draw & build a standard option library
• Interested in learning estimating/takeoffs
• Estimating experience is a plus
Requirements:
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, organized, and effective under pressure
• Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup (must have at least 5 years of experience with these programs)
• Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations
• Ability to work well with others and follow directions
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills
• Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail
• Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details
• Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material preferred
Required experience:
• Construction Experience is preferred
• Residential Construction Documentation
Education:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural related fields of study
• North Carolina Building Code
