Overview:
Moishe House is seeking a detail-oriented team player to join our team as a Senior Administrative Assistant, providing day-to-day support to our Sr. Director of Jewish Education and the Jewish Education department, and executing event and logistics coordination for Learning Retreats in North America.

Who you are and what you’ll do:
• You are truly a team player and are glad to assist in areas and projects as needed
• You are highly organized and have advanced skills in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, Google
• You have proven ability to multitask and monitor several projects at all times, to work well under pressure, and to manage time effectively
• You have experience in effectively collaborating and working independently and self-sufficiently with a team spread out across multiple geographic areas
• You are a highly skilled communicator (written and verbal), and a natural project manager and organizer, preparing agendas, ensuring metrics are recorded accurately and on time, and preparing documents and presentations
• You have significant experience working with Jewish Educational organizations and/or have knowledge of Jewish Traditions, Holidays and basic Hebrew
You’ll play a key role in supporting our Jewish Education Department, including:
• Tracking and managing data systems (Salesforce, Stripe, Typeform, Zapier, and more) and Judaica inventory for learning retreats and Moishe Houses/Pods
• Organizing, executing, and assisting with departmental educational offerings and team functions, such as staff learning offerings, Education Department meeting agendas and annual summits, off-site gatherings, and team social events
• Liaising with external constituents, including retreat participants, retreat, travel, and Judaica vendors, and independent contractors
• Coordinating logistics related to Immersive Jewish Learning Retreats, including initial and follow up email communication with participants, processing reimbursements, assisting with recruitment as needed, and staffing up to 4 retreats per year in a support capacity
• Managing complex calendaring for the Senior Director of Jewish Education and the Jewish Education department, facilitating arrangements for domestic and international travel, and processing reimbursements
• Editing educational materials for retreats and staff gatherings using Canva or similar graphic editing tools
• You have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent additional years of full-time relevant experience as a substitute for the degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred
• You have a minimum of 3 years’ full-time professional experience in an administrative or similar role
• You’re known for your excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
• You possess intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other office management tools

The fine print:
The Senior Administrative Assistant is a full-time (non-exempt), year-round position, and requires weekday office hours to complete job requirements. This position works in one of our U.S. hub offices (Encinitas, Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., or Charlotte). This position is supervised by the Director of Jewish Education.

Beginning in early 2022, we’re excited to be returning to a hybrid work schedule at our Hub Offices, where employees can choose to work remotely 2 days per week and collaborate in-person with coworkers the rest of the week (Wednesday will be a day we are all in the office together!). Employees will receive prior notice in advance of starting this new schedule.

How Moishe House pays you:
• Moishe House’s starting salary ranges are based on education, experience, location, and skillset required for each role
• This is a non-exempt hourly position; starting hourly rate for this position:
• Charlotte, NC: $19/hour – $22/hour
• Chicago, IL or Encinitas, CA: $20/hour – -$23/hour
• NYC or DC: $23/hour-$26/hour
• Annual merit-based salary increase
