Job summary:
The Business Development Associate position will work together with Healthgram’s sales and marketing team to develop and grow corporate clients for our expanding direct primary care clinics. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and establishing new business relationships with decision makers at small, midsize, and large companies. The Business Development Associate will be promoting Healthgram’s unique direct primary clinic model for employers in North Carolina, Georgia, and future new markets. This individual will be part of an established sales and marketing team where you will be working closely with other colleagues. This position will report to Healthgram’s Director of Business Development.

The Business Development Associate position will be located in our Charlotte, NC corporate office and include remote and hybrid work flexibility. Total compensation includes a base salary plus commission/bonus opportunities. Training will take place in-office before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
• Within your assigned territory, you will identify, solicit, and engage with quality prospects on a consistent basis. This includes telephonic, email, virtual, and in-person meetings/engagements
• Develop a marketing plan necessary to reach personal activity and new business goals by researching target markets by leveraging industry guides, competitive intelligence, and other marketing data available
• Ability to identify qualified prospects and key buying decision makers or influencers
• Timely and consistent follow up with new business leads created by our marketing lead generation efforts and cold outreach
• Collaborate with and follow the guidance of Healthgram’s experienced sales and marketing team
• Coordinate with internal subject matter experts when appropriate
• Meet regularly with the Director of Business Development to review sales activity and analyze opportunities to further develop/grow prospect relationships
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in product knowledge, industry practices, and corporate objectives
• Use Salesforce and Hubspot for tracking field activity within your assigned territory to measure effectiveness and outcomes
• Knowledge of MS Office software tools is required
• Represent Healthgram at industry trade conferences and promote our corporate brand in other similar venues
• Up to 30% travel required

What the ideal Business Development Associate will bring:
• Previous employment in sales or account management with a successful track record of converting prospects into customers
• Previous B2B sales experience is preferred
• Effective written, oral communication and presentation skills
• Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Understanding of the efforts and dedication required with a longer sales cycle
• Desire to compete and win
• Ability to learn advanced employer healthcare and insurance concepts
• Expertise in finding, building and growing leads and customer base
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• Industry experience can be helpful but not necessary
