Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager with a strong background in Human Resources initiatives including, but not limited to, recruitment, benefits administration, compensation analysis, enforcing company and safety policies, and employee development/training, and relations. Responsibilities:
• Oversees staffing- including creating and posting job descriptions, screening and interviewing candidates, hiring and onboarding new employees, and assisting the company in reaching a more diverse candidate pool
• Develops retention strategies including oversight of employee training and development programs and manages the termination/separation process when needed
• Provides support in all matters related to employee relations including performance management, code of conduct, fair employment practices and all other applications of local policies, procedures, and applicable laws
• Maintains current and prior employee files
• Ensures company policies, processes, and programs impacting employees are maintained, proactive, and updated
• Manages benefit administration including open enrollment, COBRA administration, workers compensation, etc. while managing day-to-day benefits questions and requests from employees
• Partners with the marketing team to manage the company’s volunteer One+One Initiative that supports employees as they step outside the office to engage with the local community
• Supports managers with administering annual compensation and bonus plans
• Works with managers to ensure job descriptions and compensation programs remain relevant, updated, and competitive
• Partners with management to ensure safety polices and training programs are current, practiced, and enforced
Qualifications:
• 5+ years in Human Resources Generalist or leadership role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Previous experience as sole HR Professional preferred
• Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, delegate tasks when appropriate and react positively to changes in priorities
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to view issues objectively
• Must have valid driver’s license
